iTrader Information

What is the iTrader ?
iTrader is our system for ranking independent contractors and companies. Use other people’s ratings to help determine whether or not you should deal with a particular independent contractor or company here at Job Board for Writers.

When do I use iTrader ?
When you either hire someone to do work, or a company hires you. You should leave a trader rating when the job is complete, or even before the job is completed if the other party isn’t communicating well, or disappears and therefore your time was wasted.

There must be a thread that you either started as a company buying a service, or a seller offering a service, since you have to provide the URL to the thread in your feedback with iTrader.

Please be sure to always leave accurate ratings and not be hasty when leaving negative trader ratings. Lies will not be tolerated.

What does the number in the iTrader mean ?
The number you see near the "iTrader" indicates your rating (as a buyer or seller) on our Job Board. Consequently, the higher your iTrader means you received very high positive feedback from any transactions you’ve done.

To view more information, feedback comments, and what category the user is (buyer, seller, or both), click on the number beside the user’s “iTrader”.

How to find out your own iTrader number

In your profile there is a menu item that shows you everything.
When posting a thread, you can see the poster’s iTrader number underneath their user name
When you look at all the members in the member list, you can see their iTrader rating there too.

How Do I Leave iTrader For Someone ?

For most situations, you should leave feedback once a project is complete, but for situations where the company or the independent contract just disappears, or is disrespectful, or it’s clear there is something shady with their skill or with them, you can leave feedback without the project being complete.

Follow these steps:
  1. Click the iTrader number of the member you want to give feedback to.
  2. On the destination page of the iTrader number, click the “Submit Feedback For XXX” (XXX stands for the username).
  3. You will then see the page below. Fill in the form accordingly. Make sure that you really participated in the URL that shows the Business Thread you either started, or responded to. The Additional comments field is not necessary but will help the recipient to know where he/she should improve, etc.
  4. Once you have completed this form, click on the “Submit Reply” button to send your Feedback.

Other relevant iTrader information
Here is some additional iTrader information you may find helpful.
  1. To prevent a user from inflating someone else's feedback or repeatedly adding negative feedback, you are only allowed to rate a user once.

It is assumed that if you continue to work with this person, that all goes well.

We understand that may not always be the case, as sometimes people are nice at first, and then their true colors start to shine through afterwards.
  2. If no business transaction occurred and you leave iTrader rating for someone, it can result in a ban.
  3. You may not use iTrader for transactions made via PM (private message). To use iTrader, the transaction must take place in a thread, and must have a valid thread URL.

So, you should be the original poster of the thread, or respond to the thread at least once before you take your conversation to e-mail or PM.
